Questions, answered
FAQ
Is it real wood? Does it get hot?
The cage and base are sturdy PP and ABS with a light wood-grain finish, so they look like natural wood but are easy to wipe clean and never warp from the mist. The light is a cool-running LED and the mist is cool ultrasonic mist, so it stays cool to the touch.
Do I need the essential oil set?
No. It works with plain tap water as a night light and humidifier. The 6-oil set is optional: it's ticked by default and comes 15% off when you buy it with your diffuser. Untick the box above Add to cart if you'd rather skip it.
Can I change the light colour?
Yes. The default is a warm honey-yellow glow, perfect as a night light. You can also switch to one of 6 soft colours, keep one fixed or let it slowly fade between them, or turn the light off and use the mist on its own.
Does it work as a humidifier?
Yes. It puts moisture back into the air around it, which is lovely in a room dried out by heating.
Can I leave it on overnight?
Yes. It's quiet enough for a bedroom, the 150 ml tank gives you about 6 to 12 hours of mist depending on the mode, and it switches itself off when the water runs out. You can also set a 1-hour or 3-hour timer.
Is it noisy?
No. It runs at about 35 dB, a soft hum quieter than a whisper across the room, so it won't keep you up.
How big is it?
It's 12.5 cm tall and 7.5 cm wide (about 4.9 × 3 in), small enough for a nightstand, desk or shelf. It's powered by the USB-C cable in the box, so you can plug it into a laptop or any USB charger.
How do I fill and clean it?
Lift off the wooden cage, pour water into the tank up to the max line and add a few drops of oil if you like, then pop the cage back on. To clean, unplug it, pour out any leftover water and wipe the tank with a soft cloth every few days.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and usually arrive within 6–11 business days, with free tracked US shipping. Ordering for Christmas? Order by December 10 for US delivery before Christmas.
What if I don't love it?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. Send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. See our returns page.
How do I get in touch?
Email support@lumoradiffusers.com, call +1 (601) 884-1615 or use our contact form. We reply within 24 hours.
Will the mist wet my nightstand?
No. The mist outlet is raised on top of the cage, so the mist floats up and away instead of settling around the base, and the non-slip feet keep it steady.
Is it a good gift?
It's one of our favourite gifts for the cosy season: the birdcage design looks lovely on any nightstand or desk, and it glows beautifully the moment it's switched on. Add the oil set and it's ready to use straight out of the box.
