Is it a real flame? Does it get hot?
No real flame at all. A warm LED lights up cool ultrasonic mist from below, so it flickers like a candle inside the smoked glass shade. There's no heat, no smoke and no wax, and nothing to blow out.
Do I need the essential oil set?
No. It works with plain tap water as a candle light and humidifier. The 6-oil set is optional: it's ticked by default and comes 15% off when you buy it with your diffuser. Untick the box above Add to cart if you'd rather skip it.
Can I turn the light off?
Yes. You can switch the glow off and keep the mist running, which is handy if you like it fully dark to sleep.
Does it work as a humidifier?
Yes. It puts moisture back into the air around it, which is lovely in a room dried out by heating.
Can I leave it on overnight?
It's quiet enough for a bedroom. Set the 2-hour, 4-hour or 6-hour timer and it switches off on its own, and it also turns itself off when the water runs low, so it never runs dry.
Is it noisy?
No. It runs at roughly 30–45 dB, about the level of a quiet room or a soft whisper, so it won't keep you up or distract you at your desk.
Can I change the colour?
Yes. Keep the classic warm amber candle glow, or switch to a soft red, green, teal, blue or violet glow.
How do I fill and clean it?
Lift off the glass shade, pour water into the tank and add a few drops of oil if you like. To clean, unplug it, pour out any leftover water and wipe the tank with a soft cloth every few days.
