Questions, answered
FAQ
Is it a real flame? Does it get hot?
No real fire at all. The glow comes from LEDs under the cracked-lava lid, lighting up cool ultrasonic mist so it looks like a little volcano. There's no heat and no smoke, so it's safe to touch.
Do I need the essential oil set?
No. It works with plain tap water as a glowing night light and humidifier. The 6-oil set is optional: it's ticked by default and comes 15% off when you buy it with your diffuser. Untick the box above Add to cart if you'd rather skip it.
What's the difference between the two modes?
Flame mode sends up a big, billowing plume of glowing mist. Volcano mode puffs out gentle bursts that float up as little smoke rings. Press the left button to switch between them.
Does it work as a humidifier?
Yes. It puts moisture back into the air around it, which is lovely in a room dried out by heating. A built-in water barrier lets only the finest mist out, so your desk stays dry.
Can I leave it on overnight?
Yes. It's whisper-quiet, and the right button sets a 2-hour or 8-hour timer (press again for continuous). It also switches itself off when the water runs out, so it never runs dry.
How long does a full tank last?
The tank holds about 360 ml. Flame mode uses about 20–30 ml per hour, so a full tank lasts around 12 hours or more. Volcano mode uses far less, about 5–10 ml per hour.
Can I change the light?
The lava lid and front flame glow a warm amber. The middle button switches on a soft breathing-light mode, and pressing it again turns the light off.
How do I fill and clean it?
Lift off the lava lid, pour water into the wide open tank and add a few drops of oil if you like. To clean, unplug it, pour out any leftover water and wipe the tank with a soft cloth every few days.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and usually arrive within 6–11 business days, with free tracked US shipping. Ordering for Christmas? Order by December 10 for US delivery before Christmas.
What if I don't love it?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. Send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. See our returns page.

Is it a good gift?
It's one of our favourite gifts: it looks amazing the moment it's switched on, and it works for bedrooms, desks and living rooms. Add the oil set and it's ready to use straight out of the box.
